This Privacy Policy governs the mobile application and website poemtograph (accessible via https://poemtograph.app), operated by the poemtograph team ("we", "our", or "us"). We are committed to safeguarding the privacy and digital autonomy of our users ("you" or "user").

By downloading, installing, or accessing poemtograph, you acknowledge the terms outlined in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, please refrain from using our application and services.

2. Information We Collect

We operate under a principle of strict data minimization. Depending on how you interact with poemtograph, we may collect the following categories of information:

• Photographs Selected by You: When you choose to transform an image into poetry, the image is selected from your device's photo library or captured using your device's camera. We only access images that you explicitly select.
• Anonymous & Authenticated Account Identifiers: By default, you can use poemtograph as an anonymous local user without providing any name or email address. A randomized cryptographic unique identifier (UID) is generated via Firebase Authentication to manage your credit balance. If you choose to link your Google Account, we store your authenticated email address solely for cross-device synchronization and purchase recovery.
• In-App Purchase & Subscription Tokens: When you purchase credits or subscriptions, transactions are processed directly by Google Play Billing (or Apple App Store). We receive an encrypted purchase token, product identifier, and purchase timestamp to grant and verify your entitlements. We never collect or store your credit card numbers or banking information.
• Voluntary Feedback Submissions: If you use the in-app "Send Feedback" feature, we receive your message, selected category (General, Feature, Bug), optional reply email, and app build version.

3. How Photos & Poetry Are Processed

When you request poetry generation, your selected photo is securely transmitted via TLS 1.3 encrypted HTTPS connection to our backend processing functions and the Google Gemini Multimodal Vision API.

• Ephemeral Analysis: The AI model analyzes visual components such as light, color temperature, atmosphere, and aesthetic composition to compose the verse.
• Zero AI Model Training: Your images are processed transiently in memory. Neither poemtograph nor Google Cloud utilizes your photos to train, tune, or improve generalized foundation models.
• No Public Cloud Storing of Originals: Once the poem text and title have been returned to your device, the uploaded image buffer is immediately released from server memory.

4. Local Sandbox & Device Storage

When you save an artwork card within poemtograph, it is saved directly to your device's private, encrypted internal application sandbox using SQLite and local storage.

• Your saved cards reside exclusively on your physical device unless you explicitly choose to share or export them to external apps (e.g., Instagram, Photos, Messaging).
• You can delete individual artworks or wipe your entire local history at any time through Settings > DATA & STORAGE > Delete Local Data.

5. Purchases & Google Play Billing

All financial transactions for subscriptions (Pro Monthly, Pro Annual) and non-expiring consumable credit packs (Extra 10 Pack) are governed by Google Play's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Our credit ledger service records your active balance and rollover credits using deterministic local persistence and best-effort server reconciliation. We maintain an idempotent transaction record based on unique purchase tokens to prevent duplicate billing and guarantee that valid purchases are always restorable.

6. Third-Party Infrastructure Providers

We rely on industry-standard, SOC 2 compliant cloud infrastructure to deliver secure and reliable services:

• Google Cloud & Firebase (USA / Global): Provides secure authentication, Cloud Firestore credit metadata synchronization, and Google Gemini API inference.
• Google Play Billing: Handles secure payment processing, currency conversions, and automated subscription renewal cycles.
• Resend: Used solely to dispatch voluntary feedback emails submitted via the app's feedback form to our administrative support inbox.

7. Account & Data Deletion (Google Play Compliance)

At poemtograph, you maintain full control over your account and personal data. In strict accordance with Google Play's User Data policy:

• Right to Restrict Processing: You can use poemtograph anonymously without connecting a social identity or sharing personal contact details.
• Right to Access & Portability: All generated artworks can be saved losslessly to your device photo library at any time.

8. Children's Privacy

poemtograph is designed as a creative artistic tool for general audiences and does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 within the European Economic Area). If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child without verified parental consent, we will promptly delete that information.
